Work From Home Blogs

I was, at one time, trying like crazy to find a WAH job that I think would be a great fit for me and vice versa. In my trek of a few years doing this I've found quite a few blogs that talk about the different companies out there that hire remote workers. On this post I am going to just start putting the links to the blogs and sites I've read covering this topic. That way, it's in one neat and tidy little place and I'm not just repeating a bunch of things. It will also be a good way for me to find them while I clean up my bookmarks :-). I will update this page as I find more and have time. I currently have no actual affiliation with any others. You'll find some redundant information throughout the different blogs.
  1. 1099-Mom
  2. Clark Howard's website
  3. Dream Home Based Work - This is one with lots of resources and she also links to other blogs of this nature in some of her posts. This is also the only one I have noticed to have a YouTube channel.
  4. Home Based Mommie Free Work At Home Guide
  5. Making Sense of Cents
  6. The Penny Hoarder - Not just a WAH blog. This one gives all sorts of ideas to get a little extra $$ and how to save some.
  7. Real Ways to Earn Money Online
  8. Women Working
  9. Work at Home Moms - This one is part of About.com. Now we all know this site is a pretty good place to find information about lots of things.
  10. The Work at Home Wife
  11. The Work at Home Woman
  12. Shadow Shopper - Not actually a blog. This is legitimate (last I knew) and I used this site to find out many of the mystery shopping and demonstration companies I worked with. Unfortunately, it's another one of those in which you don't get much information if you aren't a paying member. Once you do pay the small fee, it's more like sites such as Upwork, Guru, and so on. From personal experience there was an entire directory of companies you can see once you pay. I closed my paying account because I had enough to work with, but will go back to this if I need to.
    1. I found out 12/12/2020 that this site has closed down as of March 2020 and their site points to https://gigspot.com/. I'll look into this when I have the chance
  13. Ultimate Guide to Being a Freelancer - A reader (I honestly didn't think I had any) sent me this link in email. the page this link points to gives you a cheat sheet for becoming a successful freelancer. I only really freelance as a side gig so this person probably has a better idea than I do.
  14. Appen is currently looking for contractors. Here is my referral link.

I  If you happen to notice a link is broken, please leave a comment telling me so. I would be happy to update a link or list if they are discontinued. I've updated what email replies go to as well.
