Phil Robertson slammed for imagined tale of an atheist family’s rape and murder - The Washington Post:

I read the above article and am appalled. I'm not Atheist and feel this was an asinine way of portraying them. How does anyone presume that someone not know right from wrong just because they don't believe in God? How many things wrong in this world have come from the mind of religious people? Those who believe they will be judged still rape and steal, and perform a myriad of acts counted as sin in the teachings of any faith's God. Some of this stems from the thinking that you just have to go to church and ask or pay to be forgiven!
Granted, everyone has the ability and right to speak their mind even if it is the wrong thing to say. I just can't believe the amount of idiocies in this world. This kind of stupidity is what wins with television and media and these are the role-models young ones have. I put him in the same shadow as the group who calls themselves Isis.
