That one of his teachers told him we can suck it up about having to pay some money for something he broke on a laptop that the schools force the parents to utilize.
With some bs about it being her taxes that pay for it, not our taxes. Mind you, this is what he tells us, so may not be exactly what this woman said. However, it wouldn't be the first time someone from a school was a jerk towards us, least of all this current high school. The school system has gotten to where they want to rule the parents' lives and I'm truly sick of it. We don't want our kids to have the laptops, or school library books, for the simple fact that they don't take care of ANYTHING. We are both making money from home at the moment, not much, but enough to pay the bills so far. We WILL have to pay taxes on that money and it does at least partially go towards the schools that still need to fund raise constantly to get the money they need for other stuff. We have both had out of the home jobs and paid more taxes before this year. I wish people would get over their stuck up attitudes towards those going through hard times.
Update 7:30 PM: The boy got himself suspended today, not sure on details until we see tape and he explains the situation without stammering. The school had gotten ahold of my fiance after trying multiple times because they have the number mixed up in their paperwork. Only 2 numbers have been given to them, one of which had never changed. However, they have it with a couple numbers backward. Of course, we're in the wrong again.
