As far as I've seen, to both them and their family it means you put them above everything else in your life even if they don't do the same for you. If you already have children, it's just not possible and not the right thing to do. Those children and what they need come first. I'm around too many people that don't understand this part of me. My children are FIRST. They were there before you and they will be there even if you go. I will not chance losing them for you. If it means I'm alone, so be it. Because when they realize the extent this goes to I usually wind up being alone.
