Why So Expensive Florida?

So, I'm moving back to Florida to be near my family and boy has it gotten expensive to have a place to live?! Some of those prices look decent until you go further in. I got a job in Tampa starting the middle of September. In trying to live closer to my new job, I can't seem to be able to find anything in a doable price range for the fact that I have children.

Yes I know, they shouldn't have to cater to a single mom. I chose to be a single mom rather than being beat on every time I had an opinion; or having my life run by someone else while they do what they want. But even a single man couldn't do much with this. Just about everyone has to have roommates. My children are a bit special so, roommates aren't the best idea because I will fight over my children. Then, when I'm talking to some that are renting in what I know is a not-so-great area, they have the nerve to tell me $1000 a month for something that looks run down. I know my number is not a Florida number, but I'm not as new as you think. The ones that do charge what would be a more feasible price are only for the elderly.

A lot of the ones you see that look like a fair price for the place, are looking for roommates. So that's one room within the place for that $600. For those that don't have children, it's a great deal. But not for those that do.

It's a state based mostly in tourism, yes, but that doesn't mean you keep your residents as paupers. I know I could go elsewhere, but I'm tired of the snow and want to be closer to the rest of my family before they're gone too.

Making Money Online

I see a lot of people writing posts about how to do this. It is possible, but for any of you that think you're gonna make tons of money you should think again. Unless you come up with a new idea that people like, you're going to make whatever companies are willing to pay you. Companies want to make their money and be the ones not having to work their butts off. For those of us that lost most of our creativity during childhood, it's still a grind. The good part of it is being able to work from home so that maybe you'll be able to have more time for yourself and/or your family. You need to have several under your belt in order to even have the possibility of paying the bills and, in a lot of cases, you are working more time than you do in an office. No one cares about what you and your family needs but you. Sometimes the non-caring includes the family you were born into.

Putting Myself Out There

So, today I took the plunge and put some onto 500px. I have tons of pictures tucked away that are really nice and decided to take a shot at selling them. I already sell things old items on Ebay. Basically, any way to make enough to keep our family going and still be at home to take care of my kids.

Mechanical Turk

I heard about this from some other blog and decided to try it out but can't get into anything because my webpage locks up when getting through the qualifying HITS. It seemed like an easy enough way to make a little cash but I'm just not able to get through it. It would be an easy way, not just seemed. I'm very capable, except that I can't seem to keep my webpages working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update 3/7/2016: I went back to this in the past couple of weeks and am not having so many problems. I've even been doing some transcription. Most of my things have been approved, but one little typo gets you rejected. It's something to do for extra money when in between real paying jobs.
