Bullying

Last week, one of the boys got jumped and an officer brought him home. He had a little knot on his lip from it. Those bullies tried to drag him off while my other boy and their friend held on to his leg to keep them from taking him.

Yesterday, we get a call from the school that another little group is picking on him about his clothes. Talk about how his family can't afford high end clothes and blah, blah, blah. While he is telling me this, the thing on my is an old cartoon in the newspaper. It was one of those one window cartoons where one character said I paid more for my (whatever item of clothing) than you pay for you mortgage. The response was, "That's because you're stupid".

My kids don't get $200 shoes because they go through them so quickly that buying anything that expensive is just plain stupid. More expensive does not make it better quality. Hell, I haven't had brand new clothes (except underclothes) in quite a few years. Mine have all been hand-me-downs from people that want to help a struggling family. For the most part, the kids have all gotten brand new clothes. I wish I knew how these other parents got their children to actually take care of their clothes. Mine have usually junked their items before a season is over. For any of you that have the nerve to mock me or my children because we're not getting expensive clothes, go **** yourself.
